Ten Mile Run
THE EVENT
Sister runs supporting our troops and federal employees overseas are an important element of the Credit Union Miracle Day Family of Races. Service members as well as other U.S. citizens stationed faraway appreciate the opportunity to participate in these races and feel connected to their homeland. For the past three years‚ sister runs have taken place in:2009 — Baghdad, Iraq
2010 — Kabul‚ Afghanistan
2011 — Camp Arifjan‚ Kuwait
2012 — Camp Arifjan‚ Kuwait and Wiesbaden Army Garrison‚ Germany
2013 — Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and Army Garrison Wiesbaden, Germany

The Defense Credit Union Council Overseas Subcouncil is the proud sponsor of the 2013 Camp Arifjan, Kuwait Freedom Run, and Andrews FCU is the proud sponsor of the 2013 Army Garrison Wiesbaden, Germany Freedom Run.

The Camp Arifjan‚ Kuwait 2012 Credit Union Ten Mile Run kicked off at 6am under ideal desert conditions. The sun was shining and the temperature was 70 degrees with low dust conditions. A total of 528 runners participated in the race and over 50 volunteers.
Camp Arifjan is an Army installation‚ which also houses 9,000 military personnel from other branches of service including Air Force‚ Navy‚ Marine Corps and US Coast Guard.
The top male/female overall finishers for the ten mile race were:- Women’s Overall Top Finisher: Captain Sara Day‚ 1:02:15
- Men’s Overall Top Finisher: Captain Angelo Carter‚ 1:05:00
2012 Credit Union Freedom Run — Wiesbaden Army Garrison‚ Germany

The 2012 Credit Union Freedom Ten Mile Run race kicked off at 9am on Saturday‚ March 31 at the Wiesbaden Army Garrison. The base has a population of about 16‚500 service members and their families.
The race included a ten mile run‚ a 5K run/walk and a ½ mile Children’s Run. A total of 286 runners competed in the races as well as volunteers from the USO‚ FMWR and Andrews Federal Credit Union. The top male/female overall finishers for the ten mile run were:- Men’s Overall Top Finisher: David Acanzamend‚ 1:01:36.3
- Women’s Overall Top Finisher: Renee Davis 1:11‚ Polly Hendel‚ 1:14:42.6
- Team Category Top Finisher: Andrews Federal Credit Union
