Sponsors: you are invited to a special appreciation luncheon
Join us April 9th for this FREE event!
The turbulent economy has given us cause to pause this year. In lieu of our festive Gala & Auction fundraising event, we are hosting a Sponsor Appreciation Luncheon at Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) on Friday, April 9 to celebrate you – our valued sponsors.
| 10:00 am |
Join us for our popular Craft Hour with the Kids featuring patients of CNMC. We guarantee you’ll
rediscover your inner child as you color and chat with these heroic kids who benefit from the treatment our fundraising efforts provide. Speak with their parents and caregivers and get a renewed sense of what ‘people helping people’ means to these families and those served at other Children’s Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals. During the hour, get up close to our new Miss America and special guest Caressa Cameron of Virginia, and chat with ABC 7/WJLA TV co-anchor and ten mile-runner Horace Holmes – just two of the public faces of our common cause.
|
| 11:30 am |
Be the first to learn our 2009-10 fundraising totals and how your dollars and donations are
making a difference at our premier Press Conference. New this year, Mark Batshaw, MD, Chief Academic Officer, Children’s National Medical Center and Director, Children’s Research, and Eric Hoffman, Phd., Center Director, Center for Genetic Medicine Research, will share a sampling of the exciting medical breakthroughs and cutting-edge research impacting pediatric critical care – dramatic techniques that have been made possible in part to our efforts!

| 12:30 pm |
Enjoy lunch while you meet and mingle with other sponsors and Credit Union peers in CNMC’s private dining room. Remember, this is not a fundraising event. We want to thank you for supporting the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run®, Credit Unions for Kids and Children’s Miracle Network. |
In order to plan seating for all, registration is for this event is needed by March 24. Kindly click here to RSVP.
Important registration deadlines:

Volunteer registration ends March 1 as well. Names of your organizations’ individual volunteers must be entered into the online database so race officials can plan for complete coverage.

- If you have less than 15 volunteers or need more information, contact info@cucherryblossomrun.org.
- And if you need help learning the ins and outs of mile marshaling, water station work or other volunteer duties, Becky and I will conduct a conference call for volunteer coordinators on February 25 at 2:00 pm. Dial 866-212-0875 and use pass code 4159617 to join this brief, informative discussion of last-minute details.
TV ads debut locally
Local media partners ABC 7 WJLA and NewsChannel 8 will air two different promo spots in support of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run. A total of 84 spots featuring the voice of our Gala emcee, Paul Berry, will be aired from February 22 through April 11. Each ad highlights the Credit Union connection to the run and solicits donations for Children’s Miracle Network. You don’t have to live in the area to catch the spots: view them from our website.
We’re only 7 weeks away from race weekend! Keep up the great work with your local fundraising, and be sure to visit our website for great ideas from your peers. Add your ideas to the list by emailing details to info@cucherryblossomrun.org.
